Why Ayush Was Founded

Ayush was founded in 1988 by the Sodhi brothers to bring authentic Ayurvedic wisdom to the West. While practicing Ayurveda and naturopathic medicine, they saw a major gap: truly reliable herbal ingredients were difficult to source, and many options lacked the purity required for patient care and modern standards.
To solve this at the root, they chose full control over the supply chain—supporting responsible cultivation and overseeing key steps from seed to harvest. That quality-first mindset still drives Ayush Extracts today: standardized botanical ingredients, consistent specifications, and documentation you can verify—so customers can formulate with confidence.
Our Farms
Ayush Extracts begins at the source. Our botanicals are primarily grown and responsibly harvested on our own farms and in the surrounding hills of the pristine Himachal Pradesh region of India—an area recognized as the natural habitat for many Ayurvedic plants.
By sourcing herbs from regions where they naturally thrive, we preserve botanical authenticity, potency, and consistency. Our partner farmers bring decades of experience cultivating these plants using traditional, sustainable practices that respect both the land and local ecosystems.
